This is a 5-day tour to visit all highlights in 2 important cities of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Honoi, located on the right bank of the Red River, is a pleasant and charming city, in large parts because of its famous lakes, shaded boulevards and verdant public parks. An architectural museum piece, its blocks of old buildings retaining the air of a peaceful and austere provincial town. Contrary to the fast-living and bustling air of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh).
Visits include Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century for the first university of Vietnam, Fine Art Museum, Quan Thanh Temple, Hochiminh Mausoleum (closed on Monday & Friday), museum and his former residence, One Pillar Pagoda, History Museum, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, as well as observe the fantastic Water puppet Show at night.
From Hanoi fly to Ho Chi Minh, city tour to visit Thien Hau Pagoda, History Museum, China Town, and the former Presidential Palace. A full day to visit Cu Chi Tunnels, and Tay Ninh, the center of the Cao-Daism religion.
Chu Chi, about 70 kms. to the Northeast of Hochiminh, is an amazing complex of the underground tunnels used during the Vietnam War. The digging of the tunnels began in 1946 during the anti-French resistance and continued until the end of Vietnam War in 1975.
Extended the trip for about 30 kms. more to visit the great Cao-Dai Holy See Temple, a place of pilgrimage for South Vietnamese people. The area is the headquarters of one of Vietnam’s most bizarre and interesting religions called Cao-Daism – a remarkable fusion of oriental and occidental religious philosophies, founded in 1926. Some said it is the combination religion of Buddhism, Christianity Taoism, and Confucianism.
