This 6-day tour show highlights of 3 cities – Yangon, the capital of Myanmar; Bagan, one of richest archaeological sites in Southeast Asia; Mandalay, the “Gem City” and the second largest city with its rich cultural heritage; as well as Inle Lake, the vast picturesque lake with a population of some 150,000, many of whom live on floating islands of vegetation. Inle Lake with its natural & unpolluted, is famous for the scenic beauty and the unique leg-rowing of the Inthas, the native lake dwellers.
Itinerary :
Day 1Arrival in Yangon – Visit to Gold Shwedagon Pagoda – Welcome dinner & traditional dances – Overnight at hotel in Yangon
Day 2 Yangon – By flight to Bagan – City Tour (Shwezigon Pagoda, Ananda Temple, Dhamayangyi, Gubyaukgyi, market, etc.) – Lacquerware workship – Enjoy sunset of Bagan from the top of pagoda – Surprise of Bagan – Overnight at hotel in Bagan (B)
Day 3 Bagan – By flight to Mandalay – City tour (Mahamuni Buddha Image, Kuthodaw Pagoda, Shwe Inn Bin Monastery, University of Buddhist monks, etc,) – Handicrafts workshops such as gold-leaf making, tapestry, marionette, etc.) – Sunset on the top of Mandalay Hill – Overnight at hotel in Mandalay (B)
Day 4 Mandalay – By flight to Heho – By car/van to Inle Lake – Evening (if there is enough time) enjoy the canoe trip by paddling on the lake – Overnight at hotel in Inle (B)
Day 5 Inle – Morning excursion in Inle Lake to observe floating garden/market, beautiful teak houses,…) – Late afternoon, transfer to Heho for flight return to Yangon – Overnight at hotel in Yangon (B)
Day 6 Yangon – Bogyoke (Scott) Market – Leisure – Departure (B)
